A type of work inrespect of Land Acquisition Act.1894 being dealth with by the Divisional Commissioner’s Office Nashik Division, Nashik. The Land acquisition proposals received from various acquiring bodies are to be processed by the Collector of the Dist. under whose supervision special Land Acquisition Officers are appointed for this purpose only.
The Dist Collector delegates his powers to the S.L.A.O’s in the Dist. when lands are to be finally notified u/s 6 of the concered proposals with all the details are supposed to be submitted to the Divisional Commissioner of respective Division by the S.L.A.O’s.
After receipt of such proposals the land acquisition branch in the office of the Divisional Commissioner scrutinise the proposals and after having been complied with all the points sanction is being accorded by the Additional.Commissioner of the Division. and then notification u/s 6 is to be published in the Govt.Gazzette as well as in the local news papers in the respective Dist.
Once the lands are finally notified and after that,if it is found that part of the lands are to be deleted from the acquisition proceding the concerned S.L.A.O’s and the Collector is expected to submit the consent proposal to that effect to the commissioner of the Division. The Commissioner may accord saction to such proposals in which posession of the land is not taken, This action is being taken u/s48 of the Land Acquistion Act.1894 after due scrutiny.
The Divisional Commissioner is also compowered to provide funds for the payment of compesation under Budget Head “2059-Public Works” . if the same are planed by the Govt.in R & F Dept at the disposal of the commissioner.
The commissioner is also delegated with the powers to distribute the funds in the court cases which have been disposed of by the dist.court u/s18 of the Land Acquistion Act and Govt.has decided to acquiesce.
All S.L.A.O’s works under the direction and supervision of the Commissioner. Regular corraspondance, court works attending High Court and submitting parawise remarks etc.meeting of S.L.A.O’s and general supervision of all the functions under Land Acquistion Act. is supposed to be done by this branch.
